Communication Consultancies Association of Turkey (İDA), the only representative of companies in the communication consultancy sector in Turkey, held its Ordinary General Assembly Meeting on November 20. Members of the new Board of Directors, Supervisory Board and Ethical Board to serve for the next two years were elected at the General Assembly. Burçak Taşkın Yurdakul became the new President of İDA.

Together with Burçak Taşkın Yurdakul, who is the CEO of Excel Communication; Medyaevi Communication Consultancy General Manager Faris Seven, Brandworks Communication Consultancy Agency President Güneş Özkan and Essance – İstanbul Communication Consultancy Agency President İlke Düzgün and Lorbi PR Agency President Mustafa Kaya became the other board members of İDA.

Burçak Taşkın Yurdakul, as the president, thanked the 10th term board of directors on behalf of all members and said, “Our goal for the coming period is not only to meet the current needs of our industry, but also to create a sustainable ecosystem that will shape the future of the communications profession in Turkey. The areas we will prioritize in the new period will be talent acquisition, which we focus on meticulously, raising ethical standards, increasing international interaction and further strengthening the reputation of our industry.”

İDA’s New Term Boards Were Anounced

To serve as a associate members on the board of directors in the 11th term of İDA; Banu Kurt (Iz Communication), Barış Karcıoğlu (MESE Communication Consultancy), Dilan Baransel Türkalp (Dilan Baransel Communication Consultancy),  Duygu Çavdar (Ogilvy PR) and Orkide Gökhan (Contactplus) were selected.

The members of the Supervisory Board were selected as Işıl Arıdağ (ÜNİTE Edelman) Meral Saçkan (MPR Communication Consultancy) and Necla Zarakol (Zarakol Communication); while the associate members are Feray Alpay (Promedia), Seda Yalçın Ulusoy (Weber Shandwick) and Yasemin Manisalı (L’appart Istanbul).

Ethics Committee members were determined as Ergun Gümrah (GoodWorks Holistic Communication Solutions), Esra Şengülen Ünsür (Artı Communication Management) and Özge Uzun (Lobby Communication and Event Consulting); while the associate members are Ahu Parlar (LEA Istanbul), Bilal Boğa (Walther Kranz) and Filiz Burhan (MSL Turkey).
