Communication Consultancies Association of Turkey Elects New Board of Directors

Communication Consultancies Association of Turkey (İDA), the only representative of companies in the communication consultancy sector in Turkey, held its Ordinary General Assembly Meeting on 1st of July 2021, at Han Spaces. Members of the new Board of Directors, Supervisory Board and Ethical Board to serve for the next two years have been elected.

According to election results, Mustafa Kutlay become the new Board Chairman. Together with Kutlay who is the Agency President of desiBel Agency, the other members of the Board of Directors are Founder and General Manager of M3 Public Relations Melek Manisalı, Hill and Knowlton Strategies Turkey General Manager Pelin Kocaalp, Essance İstanbul Communication Consultancy İlke Düzgün, Communication Partner Agency President Kerem Ayırtman.

Mustafa Kutlay, the new Chairwoman of the İDA, thanked the Board of Directors of the 8th term on behalf of all members and said, “With the pandemic process, we understood the importance of many things better such as hygiene and environmental awareness. While our business life and ways of doing business were changing, another important concept that emerged once again was communication. In the upcoming period, the priority of the IDA Board of Directors will be to strengthen joint competition in the sector, increase the revenues of communication agencies, and strengthen the reflexes of our members regarding the risks and opportunities that arise after the pandemic.

The General Assembly continued with the sharing of the 8th term studies. After the new term boards were elected, the 9th term targets were announced.

Gül Altan (Ogilvy İstanbul), Duygu Çavdar (Grup 7 Communication), Burçak Taşkın Yurdakul (Excel Communication and Perception Management), Orkide Gökhan (Contactplus) and Seda Yalçın (Weber Shandwick) are selected as the reserve members to the Board of Directors.

The Supervisory Board members are elected Işıl Arıdağ (Ünite Edelman), Mustafa Kaya (Lorbi PR) and Mehin Öner (MSL Group); Feray Alpay (Promedia), Neslihan Dündar (Tribeca Communication Consultancy), Dilan Baransel (Dilan Baransel Communication Consultancy) as the reserve members.

Members of the Ethical Board are elected as Esra Şengülen Ünsür (Artı Communication Management), Necla Zarakol (Zarakol) and Nihal Aydoğan (Medyaevi); Meral Saçkan (MPR Communication Consultancy), Ergun Gümrah (GoodWorks) ve Özge Uzun (Lobby Communication and Event Consultancy) as the reserve members.
